Age 91, a resident of Mokena, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2019. Beloved wife of the late George W. Keel Sr.; loving mother of Linda Keel and Robert M. (Denise) Keel; cherished grandmother of Samantha Keel and Tori Keel. She was preceded in death by her son George W. Keel Jr. parents Ludwig and Emelia Swanson (Petterson), and siblings Walter, Carl, and Anna Swanson. Doris was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mokena, Ruth Society, and Mokena Women’s Club. She was a Mokena area Realtor for over 30 years and member of the National Realtor’s Association. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL 60451 on Friday, September 6, 2019 from 4-8 PM. Funeral service Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. The family will meet at Penn Ridge Lutheran Cemetery, 18015 N. Smithville Road, Trivoli, IL 61569 on Saturday, September 7, 2019 for a 3:00 PM Committal service.
