DONALD RAY HEISNER

Donald Ray Heisner, the “Buck Master”, 48 of L’Erable, IL passed away suddenly Friday, June 4, 2021. Father of Ryan, Michael, Allison, Nathan and Lacey. Cherished son of Maria Heisner of Frankfort, IL, and the late Clarence Heisner. Dearest brother of Ronald, Lisa (Bob), Robert (Kristin), James (Amy), Brian (Michele), Mary (Steve) and Patricia (Bob). Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Donny’s contagious smile and distinctive laugh will be remembered by all who knew and loved him. He had a magical way of livening up the room and making people laugh. Always willing to help someone out utilizing his incredible skills as a carpenter, building a deck, framing a three seasons room, or building a mancave tree house. Someone would simply suggest it and Donny would have you picking up the material the next day. “Let’s just do it” he would say. To say Donny had a love for the outdoors would be an understatement. When you would fish with him and the sun was falling fast, he would say repeatedly “One more cast,” always thinking there was going to be a fish on the end of his line. The “Buck Master” will be missed in the yearly deer camp trips where he would share his daily adventures at the end of each day like no one else could, full of energy and passion and that big infectious smile. He was always three steps ahead of everyone with those legs like a giraffe and his eagerness to get started. That was the way it was in everything he did. No one could ever really keep up. Every time we sit in a tree or cast a line, we will be thinking of Donny and the many wonderful memories we were fortunate enough to share with him. We love you, Donny.
