Diane Joy Batson
Born March 9, 1938 passed away September 5, 2013. Survived by her brother Mark C. Batson. She was preceded in death by her parents Charlotte R. (nee Smith) and Clyde M. Batson. Diane was a graduate of Lincoln Way High School, Class of 1956; Graduate of Northwestern University, De Paul University and Indiana University. She was a teacher and librarian, and a lifelong lover of literature and history. Diane was a member of the New Lenox Area Historical Society, the National Trust for Historic Preservation and supporter of historic preservation. A Memorial Service will be held on October 5, 2013 at 11:00AM at the United Methodist Church in New Lenox. Memorials in Diane's name can be made to Kids – USA at United Methodist Church of New Lenox.
