Age 66, of Joliet, passed away Friday, April 8, 2022, in Mesa, AZ. Dennis was born in Baton Rouge, LA to the late Frederick Gray and Rowena (nee Balentine) Thatcher. Loving brother of the late Sieglinde Dorothy Thatcher, Frederick Gray III (Maureen) Thatcher, Jack Doyle Thatcher, Jeffry Lynn (Sherry) Thatcher, and Albert Richard Thatcher; loved uncle of Kevin Gray Thatcher and John Neal Thatcher; proud great uncle of Haley Lynn Thatcher, and dear friend of many. Dennis was a Master leather worker; owner of Thatcher’s Leather Artistry for over 30 years. He travelled to Arizona, Texas, and Louisiana doing leather artistry with the Renaissance Faire. Dennis will be missed by all who knew and loved him. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd. New Lenox, IL on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, for a Memorial Visitation from 1pm – 6pm.
