David G. Ciarlette

68, of New Lenox, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Dave was born in Joliet, IL to the late George E. and Dolores M. (nee Ward) Ciarlette. Beloved husband of Judy (nee Vance); loving and devoted father of Jodi (David) McCarthy and Jillian (Scott) Hersted; cherished grandfather of Andrei, Alexander, Elena, and Viktoria McCarthy, and Sawyer, Brady, and Madeline Hersted; dear brother of Gary (Sue) Ciarlette, Kathy (Roger) Copen, and Daniel (Diane) Ciarlette; loved uncle of numerous nieces and nephews.

Dave’s entrepreneurial spirit and passion for building businesses led him to simultaneous positions as Senior Partner at Ciarlette & Robbins, and CEO of both Pet Food Solutions and Sustainable Sourcing. Dave was passionately involved in Creamery (Mokena, Frankfort, and Orland Hills), his family’s business. Dave was known by clients, friends, and family for his ever-positive attitude and his ability to motivate and encourage others to reach their full potential.

Dave’s joy in life came from his beautiful bride of 47 years, with many of their best memories coming from traveling the world with family. Dave found great pleasure in spending time with his family at their Michigan house, and on the boat. Dave spent his spare time golfing, woodworking, and tinkering with his carefully curated car collection. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of New Lenox.

The family would like to thank Joliet Area Community Hospice for their outstanding care and compassion during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, family would appreciate donations to The Lewis University Scholarship Fund In Memory of David G. Ciarlette.

The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, New Lenox on Thursday, January 21, 2021 from 3:00pm until time of Memorial Service at 6:00pm. Interment will be private. Social distancing and masks are MANDATORY for ALL in attendance. No food allowed in the funeral home.
