Daniel Lee

Age 62, of Seminole, Florida, formerly of Frankfort Square and Mobile, Alabama, passed away April 10, 2014. Loving husband of Angeline Schmitz Lee, beloved father of James C. (Tami) Brantley, Christy Ann (Thomas) Powers, Catherine E. Lee, and Phillip D. Lee; dearest brother of Deborah and Bonnie Lee; proud grandfather of Summer and Deklin Brantley; Ashley, Lily, and Aubrey Powers; cherished son-in-law of Emilie Schmitz; fond son of Charles W. Halla; brother of Chris and Steve Halla and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters-in-law. He was preceded in death by his parents Irving J. and Barbara V. (nee Lambert) Lee; father-in-law Charles R. Schmitz, and grandchild Skye K. Brantley. Proud and decorated Veteran of the Vietnam War, decorations include the Vietnam Service Medal, the Combat Action Ribbon, the Bronze Star with Valor Device for valor in combat operations, and the Purple Heart for wounds received in action. Continued to serve his nation as a Special Agent in the Federal Bureau of Investigation until he retired in 2007. Following retirement, he served two tours of duty as a private military contractor with MPRI/L3 Communications in Baghdad, Iraq. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, Illinois 60423, Tuesday April 15, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at St. Anthony Church 7659 West Sauk Trail, Frankfort, Illinois at 10:00 a.m. Interment with military honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Illinois In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Chapter 252, P.O.
