Daniel Jospeh Bahrs

March 30, 1937 — February 16, 2022

Daniel Joseph Bahrs, 84, formerly of Bridgeport, Riverdale & Crete passed away at his home on February 16th, 2022. He is survived by his children: daughters: Debra Bahrs-Fazekas, Jacqueline Johnson, Daniel G. (Julie Wilson) Bahrs; grandchildren: Kaitlyn (Brad) Garney, John Fazekas, Trent & Brad Johnson, Henry & Lola Bahrs, and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his grade-school sweetheart & wife Jacqueline 17 years ago and by his siblings: Henry Bahrs, Thomas Bahrs, Michael Bahrs, Mary Alroth, and Noreen Tassone. Born in Chicago to the late Henry and late Emily Bahrs nee McMullen, Daniel was raised in Chicago and was a graduate of DeLaSalle High School on the south side. Mr. Bahrs retired from INX, International Ink Co. where he worked in many capacities for 47years. He was a dedicated family man and hard-working provider. He truly valued his relationships with his & his wife's siblings & all their children, rarely missing a family event. Everyone who knew him, knew him to be a charmer and avid storyteller. His happy-go-lucky mentality will be greatly missed.
