Corinne V. Albert (Gibson)

Age 90, formerly of Manteno, passed away Monday, January 30, 2017 at Smith Crossing Assisted Living in Orland Park, IL. Corinne was born in Beckemeyer, IL, was raised in Gary, IN, and lived most of her adult life in Dolton, IL and Manteno, IL.

Corinne is survived by her loving family; children, Janel Johnson, David (Cindy) Albert, Daniel (Debbie) Albert; grandchildren, Chris (Jamie) Albert, Heather (Ryan) Downey, Jennifer (Andy) Carr, Sarah Albert, Amanda (Patrick) Hansen, Kaitlin Albert, Taylor Albert, Melanie Albert; great grandchildren, Jack, Morgan, Addison, Alex, Jacob, Leonardo, Cole; siblings, Dashiell, Shelby, Ron, Norinne and Neville; and many nieces and nephews.

Corinne was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred & Hazel Gibson (Gallien); husband, James Albert; son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Debbie Albert; son-in-law Arnie Johnson; and brother, Russell Gibson.

She enjoyed arts and crafts, painting, sewing, ballroom dancing, and traveling across the U.S. and internationally. Over the years she amassed a sizable collection of angels and always wore an angel pin. Today she becomes an angel to watch over her family.

Corinne was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished daughter, caring grandmother and great grandmother, wonderful sister, dear aunt, and loyal friend - - - there are countless ways to describe this terrific woman. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Family will receive friends at Parkview Christian Church, 11100 Orland Parkway, Orland Park, IL 60467 on Friday, February 3, 2017 from 9:30am to 11:00am. Memorial service immediately following at 11:00am. Interment, Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Grant Park, IL.
