Christine “Chris” A. Yeates (nee Slavicek)
70, of Richton Park, IL formerly of Joliet, passed away at home on Tuesday, November 19, 2019. Chris was born in Aurora, IL to the late Milton and Helen (nee Wojtysiak) Slavicek. Beloved wife of John D. Yeates; loving mother of Nick (Jody) Yeates and Andy Yeates; cherished grandmother of twin grandchildren Johnathan and Miranda Yeates; dear sister of Larry (Ary) Slavicek, and Bev (Steven) Creagan. After her retirement as a Research Chemist, Chris tutored Lincoln-Way area students at the Frankfort Library for over 25 years. She also enjoyed kayaking, gardening, camping, pretty much anything outdoors. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, Frankfort on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 from 1:00pm until time of Memorial Service at 4:00pm.
