CHARLES L. AARUP

Age 84 of New Lenox, formerly of South Holland, passed away on Sunday, June 15th, 2014 at Ingalls Hospital in Harvey.

Charles is survived by his loving family, wife, Ruelene Aarup (Trusty), children, Charles (Char) Aarup, Cindy (Chris) Vassell, Dawn (Randy) Anderson, Robin (Steve) Valiunas, Janet (Leigh) DeYoung, sister, Gloria (Tom) McHale, grandchildren, Daniel (Tanja) Aarup, Megan Aarup, Lauren (Jon) Halloway, Heidi (Noah) Hughes, Hannah Anderson, Jacob Anderson, Andrew Valiunas, Amy Valiunas, Rebecca DeYoung, Melissa DeYoung, Joshua DeYoung and eight great grandchildren.

Charles was preceded in death by his siblings, Edrin Aarup, James Aarup, Glen Aarup and Lorraine DeVries.

Charles was a United States Army Veteran and was Past President of the Northern Illinois Airstream Unit. Charles was a very active member of the First Baptist Church, the Boy Scouts, the Little League and the American Legion while living in South Holland.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, June 19th, 2014 from 3:00 PM until time of funeral service at 7:00 PM at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423. Interment will be private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to Arden Courts, 2045 East 170th Street, South Holland, IL 60473 would be appreciated.
