Carol J. Goody (nee Speicher)
76, late of New Lenox, passed away Monday, April 28, 2014 at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Carol was born in Joliet to the late Vernon and Betty (nee Broad) Speicher. She is survived by her loving family; her children, Beverly (Hugh) Kleckner, Kenneth Jr. (Harriet) Goody and Steven (Kathie) Goody; five grandsons, four granddaughters, four great-grandchildren; brothers, Vernon Speicher and James (Debbie) Speicher; sisters, Kay (Don) Koppen and Janet (Ron) Berg; a brother-in-law John Goody, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Carol was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Kenneth R. Goody Sr. and her aunt, Julie Speicher. Carol worked at Brauns Sales in New Lenox for over 20 years and as a Nurse's Aide at Sacred Heart Retirement Home in Frankfort for 15 years, retiring in 1999. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451 on Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 3:00PM - 8:00PM. Funeral service Friday, May 2, 2014 at 11:00AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment private.
