Carol A. Boban

Carol A. Boban, affectionately know as "Punker", age 87, passed away at her home in New Lenox, IL on Sunday, September 25, 2022.

Carol is survived by her beloved children, Martin (Bobbi) Boban and Michael (Laurie) Boban; grandchildren, Tracee, Laura (Finn), Jamie (Darnell), Maggie (Greg), Mallory (David), Melissa (Kyle), and Michelle; greatgrandchildren, Harley and Isaiah; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Melvin Boban; parents, Oswald and Myrtle Morin; and her siblings, Donald, Roger, Dorothy, and Julia.

Carol will be remembered for being an avid traveler. She traveled all over the world with dear friends and family members. One of her favorite trips was to Door County, WI, where "Punker and Porker's" retreat was located, with her granddaughters and friends. For many years Carol worked as a Legal Secretary for numerous law firms around the Joliet area. She was an extremely caring and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was very supportive, especially with whatever endeavor her sons were involved with at the time. Carol had many dear friends, some in particular dating back to her time in the Methodist Youth Foundation in first grade. She continued these relationships, with especially Marsha, Jan, and Shelly for the entirety of her life. Carol was a proud life-long member of the Ingalls Park United Methodist Church. One thing that brought Carol great joy was spending Christmas Eve with her immediate family. Carol will be welcomed into heaven by many friends and family. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the medical staff and caregivers who have cared for Carol, that went above and beyond for her in all capacities over the last six years.

Services for Carol will begin on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd. in New Lenox, with a visitation from 4pm until 8pm. Services will continue the following day at Ingalls Park United Methodist Church, 105 Davidson Street, Joliet, IL 60433 with a visitation from 10am until the time of the funeral service at 11am. Interment will be held privately.
