Carl R. Batson
78, born December 11, 1934 passed away September 4, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Anita; son Carl W. (Lorie) Batson and daughter Alicia (fiancé Peter Goutos) Batson; five grandchildren, Eric, Ryan and Brooke Jessen, Michelle (Rusty) Caldwell and Michael Batson; brother, William (Charlene) Batson and sister Joan (the late Thomas) Donohue. Preceded in death by parents Ceward W."Jobe" and Myrtle (nee Hacker) Batson; sister, Janet and brothers Ceward "Junior" and Robert Batson. He joined the Army and served in Hawaii during the Korean War and was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, New Lenox. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Grace Episcopal Church or Hospice of Kankakee Valley would be appreciated. Family will receive friends at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox IL 60451 on Saturday, September 7, 2013 from 9-11AM and then to Grace Episcopal Church 209 N. Pine St, New Lenox for a Funeral Service at 11:30AM. Interment Maplewood Cemetery, New Lenox.
