Born May 3, 1944 in Batesville, AR to the late John Edward and Mary Lou (nee Palmer) Downs. Passed into Eternal Life, November 1, 2011 at home surrounded by friends and family. Beloved husband of Sharon (nee Wilczak); loving father of David (Candace) Downs and Mary Ann (Jim) Moomchi; proud grandfather of Greg and Breanne Moomchi and Jacob Downs; dear brother of John, William and Jerry Downs, Wanda Bowers, the late Jawanda Downs and the late Revonda Renfro; uncle of many nieces and nephews. Cairl was a well-loved member of Free Christian Assembly for 42 years and a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. Family will receive friends at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd. New Lenox, IL 60451 on Thursday, November 3, 2011 from 3-9PM. Funeral Service Friday, November 4, 2011 at 10:00AM in the funeral home chapel with Brother John Mahalick officiating. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
