Bonnie M. Marthaler

Bonnie M. Marthaler (nee Thoma), age 86, late of Cape Coral, FL formerly of Chicago Heights and Homewood, IL peacefully passed away January 6, 2019.
Beloved wife of 57 years to the late Charles H. Marthaler; loving mother of Charles (Kathy), Edward (Lisa), Robert (Maureen), James (Evelyn), Mary (Dave) Smith & Carol (the late Rob) Campin; proud grandmother of 18 and great grandmother of 9.
Preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Sena Thoma and sister Mary Louise Ruppert.
Though primarily a homemaker raising her six children, Bonnie also worked alongside her late husband in the family grocery business. In her later years she enjoyed her time in the Florida sun.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 9:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 noon at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd. New Lenox. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, 250 Waterstone Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431 would be greatly appreciated.
