Birgit E Kurber

Birgit (Birgie) E. Kurber, age 85, of Frankfort, IL, earned her angel wings in Heaven to be with the Lord on May 23, 2020. Birgie was always a classy, glamorous, social, kind-hearted, and generous woman.

She is preceded in death by her treasured parents Arthur and Signe Melin. Birgit is survived by her beloved husband: Daniel L. Kurber, whom she shared 63 beautiful years with; and precious children: Daniel M. Kurber, Cynthia Kurber-Rerych (Richard), and Scott Kurber (Nancy). Birgie was “Nana” to Daniel J. Kurber, Erika Rerych, Julia Kurber, Andrew Kurber, Seth Kurber, and Jared Kurber. She was also the only sister to her older brother Clarence Melin. Birgit will be remembered for her love for shopping, golf, genuine friendships, and for always being before her time!
