Betty L. Carlson

Betty Piazza Carlson grew up in Melrose Park, Illinois, graduating in 1950 from Proviso East High School. Carl Carlson, her husband of 63 years, preceded her in death. Together they raised three daughters in Berkeley, Illinois. Over the years, she worked as a secretary for various temp agencies. In retirement, Betty and Carl enjoyed summers at Lake James in Angola, Indiana, and winters in Holiday, Florida. Betty was an accomplished golfer, enjoying her ladies league the last six years in Frankfort, Illinois, until her retirement from golf at the age of 89. She will be missed by many.

Betty was a loving mother to Kathleen Muscolino Watson (Gregory); Linda Levine (Bruce); and Carol Weimer (Faith). Devoted grandmother to Thomas Faith, Jr. (Kristen); Lisa Faith (Trent Von Holten); Angela Roman; and Jeremy Roman. Proud Gigi to Cullen, Conor, Nolan, Daisy and Joey. Dear sister to Angelo Piazza; Barbara DelGenio (Piazza); and sister-in-laws Norma Piazza and Lillian Carlson. Beloved sister to the late Charles, Peter and Joseph Piazza. Fond aunt to many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; and a dear friend to many.

A visitation for Betty will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort IL 60423 on Friday, February 3, 2023, from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services on Saturday, February 4, 2023, prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:30 AM leaving for St. Anthony Catholic Church, 7659 W. Sauk Trail, Frankfort IL 60423 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. For those that wish to attend, interment will take place on Monday, February 6, 2023, meeting at the chapel at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 1400 S. Wolf Road, Hillside IL 60126 at 11:00 AM
