Bernadine Marie Rinke (nee Jurvich)
86, a Mokena resident of over 50 years, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Holy Family Villa, Palos Park. Bernadine was born in Joliet, IL to the late Martin and Margaret (Varello) Jurvich. Beloved wife of the late George A. Rinke; loving mother of Michael (Laura) Rinke, Thomas (Diann) Rinke, James (Wendy) Rinke, Joseph (Carol) Rinke, and the late David (Karen) Rinke; cherished grandmother of Katie (Mike) Rojas, Kim Rinke, Lauren Rinke, Kyle (fiancée Stephanie Grace) Rinke, Zachary (Veronica) Rinke, Toby Driscoll, Erin (Missy Gibbons) Rinke, Jamie (Matt) Kealey, Kylee Rinke, Caitlin Rinke, Ryan Rinke, and Grace Rinke; proud great grandmother of David Rinke and Evan Kealey; dear sister of the late Raymond (Debra) Jurvich; sister-in-law of Gladys (the late Fred) Weber and Carolynn (Dale) Reils; numerous nieces, nephews and a special friend Paulette Hossbach also survive. Bernadine was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law George and Hyacinth Rinke; sisters-in-law Hyacinth (Ken) Corniels and Mary Ann (Jack) Lee. Bernadine worked at Caterpillar as an IBM Operator, at Building Blocks Day Care Center as a cook, and Mokena Public Schools District 159 as a Food Server. She was also a former proud serving Girl Scout and Cub Scout Leader as well as a former Board Member of the Mokena Public Library. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from 3pm – 8pm. Funeral Service Wednesday, January 10, 2018 with prayers at 10:00am in the funeral home to St. Mary Catholic Church, Mokena for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am. Interment St. Mary Church Cemetery, Mokena.
