Barbara E. Colby, age 76 of Monee formerly of Chicago, Matteson and New Lenox, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2016. Loving wife of Edward Colby; beloved mother of Caroline (Doug) Yoder, Cary (Jean) Alexander and Paul Alexander; dearest sister of Janina Forc, Christina Saleika, the late Joseph Haim and the late Walter Haim; cherished grandmother of Amanda, Adam, Aaron, Ryan and Abigail Alexander, Tyler, Savannah, Tori and Derek Yoder; fond sister-in-law of Robert Colby and caring aunt to many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox IL 60451 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM. Funeral services on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:30AM leaving for St. Jude Catholic Church for a 10:00AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Joliet. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Humane Society would be appreciated.
