Barbara Ann Tomczak (nee Baldwin)

70, of Homer Glen, passed away unexpectedly Friday, November 4, 2022, at Silver Cross Hospital, New Lenox, IL. Barbara was born in Chicago to the late Edgar J. and Margaret M. (nee Sauer) Baldwin. Beloved wife of the late Victor Tomczak; loving mother of Jeff (Toni) Tomczak and Tyler Tomczak; cherished “Granny T” of Ryder Tomczak; dear sister of Michael (Jackie) Baldwin, the late Kenneth (Kathy) Baldwin, Celeste (Gene) Lang, William (Janice) Baldwin, and Lillian Baldwin; loved aunt of numerous nieces and nephews, special friend of Christopher Flood, Xiao Wang, and Alan and Rose Goldfarb; also survived by her step-mother Joanna Baldwin and many other friends. Barbara was a self-employed Co-Founder of American Financial Funding, Co-Owner of Excalibur Construction, and worked for American Portfolio Mortgage. To put it best, Barbara was an entrepreneur. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in honor of her mother Margaret Baldwin would be appreciated. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox, IL on Friday, November 11, 2022, from 3pm-8pm.  Tyler, Jeff, and the family ask that you join them in Celebration of Barb’s Life on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 1:15pm at Barrel & Vine, 206 Main Street, Lemont, Illinois Food and beverages will be provided, and there will be an open mic so bring all your stories.
