Anthony Dominic Vinezeano age 92, born in Chicago in 1928, formerly of Markham and a long time resident of Peotone, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021. Loving husband of Jeanne (Tetreault); beloved father of Mark (Beth), Michael (Beverly), Laura (Paul) Reynolds, Paula (Bud) Caruso, Fred (Holly), Carole (David) Basile and Robert (Tricia); dearest brother of the Catherine (late William) Anderson, late Joseph (Ruth), late Claire (Frank “Don”) Anderson, late Carmen (late Bernice); dearest brother-in-law of Fred (late Sharon) Tetreault; cherished grandfather of Michelle Vinezeano, Late Rebecca Vinezeano, Christopher (Michele) Vinezeano, Tricia (Tom) Allen, Michael (Jen) Vinezeano, Dawn (Paul) Ballou, Melissa (Adam) Sacramento, Alison (Greg) Zybak, Erin (David) Bricker, Paul II (Samantha) Reynolds, Anthony (Britny) Caruso, Lauren Caruso, Sarah Vinezeano, Steven Vinezeano, Nicole Basile, Ashley (Nathan) Oliver, David Basile, Miranda Basile, Danielle Vinezeano and Anthony “Dominic” Vinezeano. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many special friends and neighbors. Anthony was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving in WWII on the USS Palau, USS Coral Sea and USS Midway. In 2019, he was chosen to be a part of Honor Flight Chicago and recognized as one of our nations Senior war veterans, with a trip to Washington D.C. He worked 32 years as a mechanical engineer with Andrew Corporation in Orland Park retiring in 1985. In 1986 he founded Vincor Ltd. in Monee and remained owner and President until his passing. He was an active member of the Monee Chamber of Commerce and loved his trips to Creede, Colorado. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort IL 60423 on Thursday, February 25, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church 511 N. Conrad St. Peotone IL 60468. Interment and military honors will be held privately at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. ALL ATTENDING VISITATION AND SERVICES ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCE. NO FOOD IS ALLOWED IN THE FUNERAL HOME.
