87, of Mahomet, IL, formerly of New Lenox passed away Monday, July 13, 2015. Aloys was born in Joliet to the late Thomas and Emy (nee Girat) Gonda. Beloved husband of Beverly (nee Gualdoni); loving father of Greg (Christine), Lawrence (Sami Dammacco), Nadine (Eric) Goranson and the late John (in infancy); cherished grandfather of Rachel (Nicholas) Sagan, Adam Van Pelt, Taylor, Kevin, and Katharine Gonda, Marissa (Todd) Claxon, and G. Michael Gonda; loving great grandfather of Jillian and Olivia Sagan, and Griffin and Harper Claxon; dear brother of four deceased brothers and four deceased sisters; fond uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. Aloys retired from the U.S. Post Office. He was a U.S. Marine Corps and Korean War Veteran and a Life Member of Stone City Post VFW 2199. Family will receive friends at St. Jude Catholic Church 241. W. Second Ave. New Lenox, IL 60451 on Monday, July 20, 2015 from 11:00am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon. Interment Elmhurst Cemetery, Joliet.
