Alma Jean Cagwin

Alma Jean Cagwin (nee Berglund)
89, of Ashkum, IL formerly of Homer Twp. passed away peacefully on Friday, June 4, 2021 at Alden Courts of Shorewood, IL. She was born in Joliet, on October 13, 1931, to Charles Henry “Hank” and Alma (nee Thor) Berglund.
Loving aunt of Dwight (late Debra) Berglund, Susan (Andres) Silva, Greg (Sue) Berglund, Laurel (Mike) House, Elaine (John) List, Holly (Jeff) Gaulik, Keith (Pennie) Berglund, Kevin Berglund, Cheryl Ann Berglund, and Mary Ann (Joe) D’Ambrosio; also survived by sisters-in-law Edna Cagwin, Shirley Barr, and Sandra Carey, numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and many other friends.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband Harlow Thomas Cagwin (2012); her parents; her brothers Clifford, Raymond and Robert; and a nephew Terry Berglund.
Jean was raised in Lockport and then moved to Homer Twp. where she and her husband farmed for many years, before moving to Ashkum. She was a longtime member of Covenant Community Church in Lockport and then a member of Hope Covenant Church in Orland Park, IL.
