92, of Mokena passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Alfred was born in Chicago to the late Ignac and Josephine (nee Staczak) Trawczynski. Beloved husband of the late Therese A. (nee Stachura); loving father of Deborah (J. Patrick) Freeman; cherished grandfather of Christopher Patrick "Chris" (Katie) Freeman, Kathryn Marie "Katie" (Brad) Millar, Kevin Patrick (Val) Freeman, and Cara Marie (Jon) Beach; proud great grandfather of Kristen, Collin, and Connor Freeman and Victoria, Landon, and Alexander Millar; dear brother of Frances (Joe) Jasniecki, Elizabeth (Walter) Haczynski, Edwin (Lorraine) Trawczynski, Henry Trawczynski, Alfred (Therese) Trawczynski, and Stanley (Marian) Trawczynski; dear uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. Alfred was retired from the City of Chicago, Streets and Sanitation, after 45 years of service. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 3pm – 8pm. Funeral Service Saturday, February 10, 2018 with 10:30am prayers at the funeral home to St. Jude Catholic Church, New Lenox for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am. Interment Private.
