Age 46, late of New Lenox, formerly of Midlothian; passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, July 3, 2011. Born in Hammond, IN to Bridgette (nee Jankowski) and the late John Zawislak. Beloved husband of Cheryl (nee Veverka); loving father of Eric and Paige; dear brother of Sandra (George) Evans, and the late Gregory Zawislak; dear son-in-law of Elaine (nee Feliksik) and the late Albert Veverka; fond brother-in-law of Tim (Vicky) Veverka, Jeff (Kelle) Veverka, and Jennifer (John) Okrzesik; dear uncle of six. Al was an Automotive Sales Manager for SPI Distribution for 21 years. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, New Lenox, Knights of Columbus, and the International Polka Association (IPA). In lieu of flowers memorials to St. Jude Parish Food Pantry would be appreciated. Family will receive friends Thursday July 7, 2011 from 3:00 to 9:00PM at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox, IL 60451. Funeral Service, Friday, July 8, 2011 with prayers at 9:30AM to St Jude Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM. Interment at Good Shepherd Cemetery, Orland Park, IL.
