William R. Jackson

Age 88 of New Lenox, IL passed away Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Silver Cross Hospital, New Lenox, IL. Bill was born in Joliet, IL to the late William and Rachael (nee Larson) Jackson.

Beloved husband of 68 years of Sally (nee Scott) Jackson, loving father of William Jackson, the late John (Wanda Ragland) Jackson, and Mark Jackson; cherished grandfather of Megan Baker; proud great grandfather of Scarlett and Kellen; dear brother of Judy Aschenbrenner, Carol Moholick, and Jean Arnoldi; loved uncle, cousin, and friend of many.

Bill was a Foreman for ComEd for 36 years, retiring in 1992. He coached the New Lenox Mustang Lightweights for many years as well as New Lenox Little League Baseball. Bill was an avid pheasant hunter making many trips to South Dakota. In retirement Bill enjoyed bowling, golfing, and card clubs. Bill was respected and liked wherever he went. He loved spending time with family and friends, and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd. New Lenox, IL on Friday, August 28, 2026, from 10:00 am until Funeral Service at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Elmhurst Cemetery, Joliet, IL.
