Thomas Martin Friant

Age 69 of New Lenox, IL passed away at home, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. Tom was born in Joliet, IL to the late Carl V. and Viola A. (nee Psik) Friant.

Loving brother of Steven (Wendy) Friant and the late David Friant; dear uncle of Gary A. Friant, Lori (Mike) Pitello, Paige (Sean) Russell, and Alena (James) De Young; great uncle of Jade Friant, Anthony Pitello, Ava Pitello, and Brody Russell; brother-in-law of Denise (George) Hass; loved cousin and friend of many.

Tom was Eagle Scout #7, Troop 12, New Lenox, IL. He worked for Sears Roebuck and Co. for 30 years. Tom was a bartender at the New Lenox VFW Post 9545 for 30 years and an auxiliary member.

The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox, IL on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, from 3 pm – 8 pm. Funeral Service Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 10:00 am in the funeral home chapel. Interment Marshall Cemetery, Mokena, IL.
