Linda Anne Subler (nee Piper)

Age 76 of Monee, IL passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 18, 2026. Linda was born in Chicago to the late Vernon and Eileen (nee Scherzer) Piper.

Beloved wife of Brad J. Subler; loving mother of Ryan (Deanna) Subler, Ruby (Tim) Johnson, and Rory Subler; cherished grandmother of Piper Johnson, Trace Johnson, Carter Johnson, Finley Johnson, Brody Subler, Scout Johnson, Dominic Subler, Graden Subler, Bear Johnson, Chase Subler, and Rhodes Johnson; dear sister of Vern (Char) Piper, Patrick (Paula) Piper, Laura (Darryn) Witt, the late Diane Piper, and the late Kelly Piper; dear friend of 70 years of Ellen Swanson; loved aunt, cousin, and friend of many.

Linda had a way of making every person she met feel special and seen. She was an honorary nana to all her kids’ and grandkids’ friends. You could find her enjoying lake life in Wisconsin, volunteering at the nursing home, crafting with her longtime friends, “The Glitter Girls” or traveling whenever she got the chance. She wouldn’t miss the chance to be at her grandkids’ dance recitals, lacrosse, hockey and baseball games, golf matches or plays. She had an open-door policy and loved to feed everyone and would strike up a conversation with anyone she met. She truly lived her life by thinking of others first and always said “What fun is it to have things if you don’t share them with the people you love?”

The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, New Lenox, IL on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 3:00pm – 8:00pm. Funeral Service will be at 10:00am on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Parkview Christian Church 2121 S. Schoolhouse Rd. New Lenox, IL.
