Donna K Roser age 78 born in Berlin Wisconsin, peacefully passed away August 13, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Donna lived in Redgranite Wisconsin where she met and later married her husband James (Jim) Roser, they were married for 55 years until Jim’s passing. Donna and Jim moved to Chicago (Mt. Greenwood) where they raised their three children. Donna and Jim later moved to New Lenox IL in 1998 to enjoy their retirement. Throughout their retirement Donna and Jim were always on the go!!!! They enjoyed spending their summer and winter months between Wisconsin, Michigan, and Texas, proudly calling themselves “Winter Texans”. Donna and Jim enjoyed the outdoors, camping at the Peavy Backwaters, fishing the Flambeau Flowage, swimming, tubing, skiing, boogie boarding and boating on Pearl Lake, snowmobiling the trails in Michigan and ATV'ing the trails in Wisconsin. Donna enjoyed playing cards, line dancing, sewing, crafting, garage sales / thrifting, and gardening.

After raising her children, Donna started her own company “Maple Ridge Designs” inventing the original “Sportmuff” that was worn worldwide by hunters and outdoor enthusiasts. One of her proudest accomplishments of her business was when her Sportmuff was worn by one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history and was displayed on the cover of a sports illustrated magazine.

Donna had many hidden talents and the most creative mind. If you needed something fixed, built, mended, sewn, reconfigured, remodeled, a new design, or looking for ideas, Donna was the one to call, and the first to help you out. Donna was a kind, loving, and thoughtful woman. She enjoyed helping others. Donna earned the nickname "The Energizer Bunny" because she just kept going and going and going. If she wasn't gardening, creating new products for her company, building something with her hands, playing cards, line dancing, playing shuffle board, or playing a game called baseball (similar to cornhole) she was collecting shells along the shoreline in Texas while Jim surf fished. Donna loved dancing at R-Journey, Drifters, or any other place there was a dance floor, and ESPECIALLY loved line dancing. She proudly wore her cowgirl boots and danced any second she could. She knew how to fill a dance floor, that's for sure. Her favorite DJ was Robert Raye. Donna and Jim's favorite pizza place in Texas was Panjos and they enjoyed going out to eat at The Shack and Freddy’s, which she continued to enjoy even after her husbands passing. Donna enjoyed going to the Ransom Road campground for potlucks and reminiscing about old times and enjoyed her time with family and friends at Milton KOA. Donna loved playing cards (Hand & Foot, golf, and 31), Pegs and Jokers was another fun game she enjoyed playing, whether in Texas, Wisconsin, or Illinois. Donna enjoyed attending Church Unlimited in Rockport Texas and always looked forward to pastor Bill Cornelius' sermons. Donna looked forward to the "Yearly Clark Reunion" and the white elephant gift exchange and most of all, the family hayride through the backroads in Wisconsin and past the farm house where she grew up. When the tractor came to the Willow Creek that's where it stopped so family pictures could be taken. Best of all, the tractor was always driven by her dear brother Dennis. “Aunt Donna” was famously known to her nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews for her amazing crepes. Once Donna would finally relax, her downtime was spent watching Hallmark movies.

Anytime a phone call was made to Donna her response was "I'm headed out the door. I'll have to call you back when I can find a free minute." Donna lived her life to the fullest and with no regrets, and when her battery ran low, the good Lord seen she needed a recharge and brought her new life and new energy and everlasting peace. Donna will forever be looking down upon all of those she loved and adored so dearly. She truly was an Angel on earth and is now a guardian Angel in heaven.

Donna courageously battled pancreatic cancer during the last 4 years of her life. She was wonderfully cared for and deeply loved by her daughter Leanne (John Principato) and her grandchildren Anthony (Summer), Gina, and Alex. Donna was loved and cherished by every life she touched.

Donna was cherished by her siblings Dennis Clark, Diane (Joe) Huser, David Clark, Debbie (Dan) Kehoe, Dan and his significant other Ann, and sister-in law Judi Simek and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, cousins, and godchildren.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband James Roser, her parents Donald and Dorothy Clark (Sobieski), her in-laws Albert and Frances Roser (Gagliano), brother-in laws Jerry Simek Jr., and Albert Roser Jr. 

A visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd New Lenox, IL on Saturday August 29, 2026 from 10:00am until time of service at 2:00pm. Interment will be private.
