Cynthia Rae Murino

Age 68 of Homer Glen, IL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Lightways Hospice and Serious Illness Care, Joliet, IL.

Cindy was born in Chicago, IL to the late George and Edith (nee Schmidt) McDonald.

Beloved wife of Fred V. Murino; loving mother of Chris Murino; dear sister of Gail McDonald; loved aunt cousin and friend of many.

Cyndi was a member of Our Mother of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Homer Glen, IL. She was a Registered Nurse working at Little Company of Mary Hospital, Evergreen Park, IL, DuPage Medical Group, and Lightways Hospice and Serious Illness Care Joliet, IL. Cyndi enjoyed spending time with family and friends especially while vacationing at her summer homes in Florida and Michigan where the beach, ocean, and pool were her constant companions. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox, IL on Sunday July 26, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services Monday, July 27, 2026, with prayers at the funeral home at 9:15 AM to Our Mother of Good Counsel, Homer Glen, IL for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Entombment to follow a Good Shepherd Cemetery, Orland Park, IL.
