Casimir “Caz” J. Guzy, age 68, of Elwood, Illinois, passed away peacefully at Lightways Hospice in Joliet.

Caz was the beloved husband of Darlene (nee Ruggeri) and a devoted stepfather to Jenna Schmitt (Chris Magnuson) and Jaclyn (Jim) Ingalls. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Clare Ingalls whom he adored.

He was truly a jack of all trades and took great pride in being hands-on with many of his projects. He especially enjoyed working on their home in Elwood and helping design the new house in Missouri. He found his greatest joy in the outdoors—he loved camping, fishing in all its forms, and spending quiet time outside, often relaxing with a Busch Light or two while taking in the beauty of the wildlife around him.

He was the cherished son of the late Casimir and Evelyn Guzy (nee Pawelczyk), and a dear brother to Jo Anne (Tom) McSorley, Steven (Karin) Guzy, Catherine (the late Joe) Condon, Christina Guzy (the late Glenn) Kuhn, Elaine (Dan) Walker, and Janet Milligan. He was also a dear brother-in-law to Louis “Louie” (Tammy) Ruggeri and Charles “Chuckie” (Jackie) Ruggeri.

Caz will be fondly remembered as a loving uncle and great-uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
