John P. Ellis
82, of New Lenox, passed away Friday, November 1, 2013 at his home. John was born in Trimble, IL to the late Samuel M. and Goldie F. (nee Creed). He is survived by his loving family; his wife Marge (nee Roberts); sons, John W. (Donna), Jim (Theresa) and Dale; daughter, Marie Roberts; ten grandchildren and 4 ½ great grandchildren; a brother-in-law John (Charlene) Roberts; sisters-in-law Diane (the late Dennis) Pinsonneault and Shirley Ellis. He was preceded in death by his brother George Ellis. John retired from Nicor in 1993 after 24 years of service. He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran and a Lifetime Member of the New Lenox VFW. In lieu of flowers, memorials in John's name can be made to Vitas Hospice or the United Methodist Church of New Lenox. Family will receive friends at United Methodist Church, 339 W. Haven Ave. New Lenox, IL 60451 on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 from 9:00AM until time of Funeral Service at 11:00AM. Interment, Maplewood Cemetery.
