Eileen Elizabeth Larkin

May 18, 1924 — June 19, 2015

Eileen Elizabeth Larkin (nee Jones) widow of Edward D. Larkin. Resident of New Lenox, IL formerly of Harvey, IL and Ellesmere, Shropshire, England. Born May 18, 1924 at rest June 19, 2015. Survived by her children Carol (the late Donald) Warrell, Wendy Larkin Sostock, John (Debi) Larkin, Jennifer Larkin, Judy Panozzo, her grandchildren Christopher and Katie-John Larkin, Matthew and Hale Sostock, and Louis and Samantha Panozzo, her sister Kathleen (Mike) Hughes of Bomere Heath, England and many nieces and nephews.
Eileen was an English war bride who loved gardening and animals. Strays were a particular favorite. For more than 35 years Eileen was a volunteer for the South Suburban Humane Society, at both the animal shelter and the resale stores.
Eileen is also preceded in death by her parents Sydney and Doris Jones, her brother and sister-in-law Norman and Norma Jones and her nephew Iain Hughes.
Visitation to be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL on Wednesday, June 24th from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Thursday June 25th at 9:30 am. Service follows at 10:00. Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
Memorials in lieu of flowers can be made to the South Suburban Humane Society, Chicago Heights, IL.
